Jamestown United Methodist Church Building Fund

Jamestown UMC is a growing multi-generational church located in the heart of historic Jamestown, North Carolina.  We currently have a membership of over 2500 with worship and educational programs for newborns through senior adults.  JUMC serves the community through many mission-based programs including our Outreach Thrift Center (thrift store open to the public), as the host facility for many community and civic groups, and through our monetary gifts and volunteering with various outreach opportunities.   

The Building Fund was originally established to fund a two-phase expansion.  At the completion of Phase One, 15,000 sq ft of classroom wings and our columbarium, the construction debt and existing small mortgage were rolled into this one fund.   At that time it was decided that Phase Two would be put on hold until a significant amount of the existing debt could be retired.  For that reason, all gifts to the Building Fund are applied directly to our existing mortgage principal balance.  Our goal is to retire this debt as quickly as possible.   Once the debt is retired, we hope to fund Phase Two, a Family Life Center and more much-needed classroom space.
